At the end of 2019, Bounce Rubber Bands was thrilled to attend the Australian Office Products Industry Fund Charity lunch, held at the Kirribilli Club in Sydney. Bounce Rubber Bands was one of over 170 attendees, with notable names like Dr Charlie Teo present to accept a donation of $25,000 on behalf of the Charlie Teo Foundation.
The 2019 fundraising campaign was launched at the eighth annual Australian Office Products Industry Fund Charity lunch with an aim to provide 3000 book packs for more than 50 drought-affected schools in NSW. In combination with generous donations and the lunch event, the campaign was able to provide nearly 6000 book packs at a value exceeding $100,000. Products donated for the book packs included binder books, exercise books, display books, ballpoint pens, coloured and lead pencils, highlighters, rulers, pencil sharpeners, visual art diaries and calculators.
Volunteers worked tirelessly through the Christmas and New Year period assembling the individual book packs to be delivered to the schools in time for classes to go back in just a couple of weeks. With the stress of drought and threat of bushfires through NSW, the Bounce Rubber Bands team hope that the students can find excitement in their new book packs. Bounce Rubber Bands was so grateful to be involved in such an awesome and reputable initiative with the charitable fundraising over $1 million over the past 21 years.
