Bounce and Rotary Club Wyong Tuggerah Help Thai Students 'Bounce Back'

24 August 2020

Bounce Back update

Each year, Bounce Rubber Bands runs their 'Bounce Back' program, aimed at giving back to the two countries that have helped the company grow. Borderless Friendship Western Australia (BFWA) is an organisation that enhances the lives of hill tribe children in Northern Thailand, where Bounce sources its natural rubber.

The Australian organisation fundraises for the Borderless Friendship Foundation (BFF) in Thailand. BFF provides opportunities for children and youth in their care to have safe and rewarding lives, offering accommodation with access to education and working towards self-sustainability.

This year, alongside the Rotary Club of Wyong Tuggerah, they donated a study essentials grant to help young hill tribe students at a hostel in Chiang Mai. The grant enabled BFWA to purchase tables, chairs, shelving units, laptops, bags, printers, stationery, and two motorcycles for safe university or vocational college transportation.

Before the donation, twelve students shared one laptop and two motorcycles with no dedicated study space. With the hostel expecting 10–15 additional students within years, the donation's long-term impact is anticipated to be significant.

Bounce Rubber Bands and Rotary Club Wyong Tuggerah expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with BFWA and look forward to future updates on their progress.
